Iceland Airwaves 2011
October 12th - 16th

Taking place this year on 12th – 16th of October 2011, Iceland Airwaves has become known for its intimacy and party spirit. In 2010 we saw Robyn, Nolo, Hurts, Rolo Tomassi, For a Minor Reflection, Bombay Bicycle Club, Moderat, Lára, Dan Deacon, Bloodgroup and about 245 others performing all around downtown Reykjavik. 

The festival has been called "the hippest long weekend on the annual music-festival calendar" (David Fricke, Rolling Stone) and an as having "unbelievable zest for music and celebration" (Jonah Flicker, Pitchfork). Iceland Airwaves is one of the premier showcases for new music in the world with hundreds of music fans, journalists and industry tastemakers in attendance. The event has previously held host to the finest Icelandic talent as well as international acts such as The Bravery, The Rapture, Florence and the Machine, Klaxons, Hot Chip, Flaming Lips, Fatboy Slim, Vampire Weekend, Kaiser Chiefs and Bloc Party. Many of these acts seeing Airwaves as their breakthrough moment.

Wristband pick-up will be at the Iceland Airwaves Mediacenter, Hotel Plaza, Aðalstræti 6, from october 10th at 12.00
