Taking place in 2012 on October 31 – November 4, Iceland Airwaves has become known for its intimacy and party spirit. In 2011 saw Björk, Yoko Ono, SBTRKT, Of Monsters and Men, John Grant, TEED, Ólöf Arnalds, Dope D.O.D., Active Child, GusGus and over 240 other amazing artists perform all around downtown Reykjavik.

Reviewers have applauded the festival and the music it showcases in many ways, calling it "an established good time" (Rolling Stone Magazine) and stating that "…there is not any place in the world like this. Airwaves really does catch Reykjavík in its best light" (Drowned in Sound).

Iceland Airwaves is one of the premier showcases for new music in the world with hundreds of music fans, journalists and industry tastemakers in attendance. The event has previously held host to the finest Icelandic talent as well as international acts such as The Bravery, The Rapture, Florence and the Machine, Klaxons, Hot Chip, Flaming Lips, Fatboy Slim, Vampire Weekend, Kaiser Chiefs and Bloc Party. Many of these acts seeing Iceland Airwaves as their breakthrough moment.

Wristband pick-up will be at the Iceland Airwaves Media Center from October 29 at 12.00 noon.
