Stopover series #1:
The first in a new concert series called the Stopover Series takes place on April 17th featuring Texan rock band This Will Destroy You who will be closing their European tour in Iceland and Icelandic rock band Kimono.
The Stopover Series are a concert series that aims to bring exciting international bands from the underground scene to Iceland. The bands stop over in Iceland on their journey between the US and Europe hence the name „ Stopover series“.
The series are a collaboration between Kimi Records, Harpa, Kex hostel, Gogoyoko and Reyka vodka.

About This Will Destroy You:
This Will Destroy You are a US rock band ( post-rock/ shoegaze/drone)  hailing from Texas. They have been playing since 2005 and have published two albums. The later, Tunnel Blanket, received excellent reviews and their songs have appeared in numerous movies and TV series of late including Moneyball.

About kimono:
Icelandic rock band Kimono celebrate their tenth anniversary this year with a series of concerts in Iceland and abroad. Their concert with This Will Destroy You in Harpa will feature a retrospective of their successful decade-long career.
