DDR-Promotions alias Austur Þýskaland was founded in 2001 with the sole purpose to make life more pleasant on the island of Iceland. After publishing the illustrated children’s bookIn Mustafas Storethe company solely turned to music. The first shows promoted by the company were 2 shows with Marc Almond in Reykjavik in January 2002. Since then DDR-Promotions has worked with foreign and local artists both in Iceland and abroad. The company has promoted over 60 acts over the past 5 years.
