Ten poets and writers hold At Home Readings in their houses during the Reykjavík Arts Festival.
The readings offer a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the authors and their work. Poems, stories, readings from novels, children’s material, proses, published as well as unpublished material, it’s all there! These are once-only events and admittance is limited.
A high number of Icelandic authors have international admirers so this year we offer for the first time readings in another language than Icelandic. Three Icelandic authors will give their readings in German, a follow up after Iceland’s successful participation in the Frankfurt Book Fare 2011, where it was the guest of honour.
The German readings are held in a collaboration with Sagenhaftes Island.
