The Icelandic Gaming Industry is a group of 8 gaming companies in Iceland, abr. IGI. The group formed early in May of 2009 but was formally established as a part of the Federation of Icelandic Industries (SI) on September 24th, 2009. To celebrate its first year in existence IGI will host a conference in the Blue Lagoon on September 24th, 2010.
The title of the conference is “The first IGI anniversary Conference: The future is bright……. “. The title of the conference highlights the optimism that exists within the IGI. Currently more than 400 people work for the eight member companies in Iceland, and on a global scale the companies have close to 800 employees. IGI 2010 - Party!
After a full day of mind blowing presentations, nothing beats soaking in the soothing Blue Lagoon with their famous Blue cocktail in one hand and your ear occupied by DJ Margeir‘s Live performance from his Blue Lagoon soundtracks.
Margeir’s Blue Lagoon baptisms are legendary. Just as the Lagoon itself strikes a balance between its alien nature and the surrounding man-made opulence, Margeir’s water-borne party sets ferry crowds to an unfamiliar land of musical plenty. He released Blue Lagoon Soundtrack to great acclaim in 2006. A follow-up was released in 2009.
DJ Margeir will not stop there! At 21:00, Austur opens it‘s doors for IGI conference guests where your pass will grant you access. An exclusive IGI party where Margeir and co continue their music feast and we network the night away.
Remember to check your pass for some free drink tickets!
If you want to reserve a table and grab something to eat the kitchen will be taking orders until 22:00. Please contact Austur via email - http://www.austursteikhus.is/
